Who’s your photographer?
Hey! I’m Anja Trost and I am a pet and portrait photographer based in Bozeman, MT. I grew up in the suburbs of Chicago and moved to Bozeman to pursue a degree in Photography at the School of Film and Photography at Montana State University. Since graduation, I have continued to live in Bozeman and enjoy the amazing environment.
Why pets and end of life photography?
Throughout my entire childhood, I was always surrounded by pets, more specifically, dogs. I have always found that the connection you can develop with dogs is incomparable to any relationship I’ve had with a person. The relationships inseparable between pet and owner are truly some of the most genuine, unfortunately, their time always ends before ours. I’ve had to watch many of my dogs pass and with my most recent dog passing, I realized how important getting some last moments of them and your family can be. That’s why I am so passionate about giving that opportunity to others so they have an everlasting memories of their four-legged family members.

Not only do I love portrait and pet photography, but I also have a strong passion taking landscape photography. I have always been deeply fascinated with the land we live on and see every day. Whether that be the beautiful mountain ranges in Montana or the vast scenery on the Great Lakes.
